Using Manual traffic Exchanges To Increase Web Traffic

The idea of traffic exchanges is not new. There have been many forms of it in the past and continues to be new twists and innovations in it as the years go by.

The concept is simple, you look at my site and I will look at yours.

There have been attempts to make this an automated proccess but that just makes the idea no longer work. Since you no longer have to actually look at my site and I don’t have to look at yours.

This is why the manual traffic exchange still remains. It is the perfect implementation of the traffic exchange concept.

There are those that do still try to game the system and get their page views automated but a good traffic exchange admin along with a properly updated traffic exchange script will combat this.

So how do you increase your web traffic using one of these ad exchanges?

The process varies depending on the site but the basis is the same.

You join a free traffic generating program such as Traffic-Splash and enter the members area.

There is normally an option to upgrade to a pro or paid account which will get you more visitors to your sites.

Once within the members area of the site you can then add the URL of the site you wish to generate more traffic to.

Be sure to check the sites Terms of Service to make sure the link you are adding will be allowed.

Now that your site has been added you need to assign some credits to it so it will be shown to others.

Another way to think of credits is to consider them site views , for every one credit your site will be seen one time.

There are some variations and some sites my charge more than one credit but the idea is the same.

Now in order to earn credits you will have to do one of several things.

1. You can “Surf” for them. This is where others will see your site and this is how you can view theirs. THis is the best way if you have the time to put into it but not the money, this way you are exchangeing your time for other members time.

2. You can buy them, if you are short on time or earn more per hour than you can generate surfing for an hour than buying credits is a verry fast and easy way. In this case you are exchangeing money for other peoples time.

3. You can earn it. Sites are different buy most have other types of traffic tools to help you generate credits. Some have a banner exchange or text link exchange that you can earn by showing on your websites.

Most also have some type referral system that rewards you for telling others about the site by giving you credits and or commissions .

This is just a basic run down of the manual traffic exchange concept. As you read you may think that it is not a perfect system, or heard others say that these methods of traffic generation are not the best.
