In the last post we discussed getting noticed or how to stand out when using a free traffic exchange , and I said you should be using a splash page.

This is so that you stand out from others, and so you grab the attention of the members that are surfing traffic exchanges.

Now more and more sites and programs are providing their members ready made splash pages to use on traffic exchanges. These are much better to use than an affiliate link directly to the sales page but it isnt the best way.

That is because every one in the traffic exchanges are going to be using the same one, so after a while it is not going to stand out.

So if you really want to stand out from the other splash pages you are going to have to make your own.

Now if you are experienced in HTML, CSS, and graphics design then Im sure that sounds easy enough to you.

Ok well we are talking about getting free traffic so it would only make sense I tell you about  free tools.

There are a few free and paid splash page makers available out there but by far I think the best one (and yes its even free) is AdKreator.

This nifty site will allow you to create a splash page using their pre-formatted templates, add graphics and customize them with any text you could ever want. And then they also host the page for you so you dont even need your own hosting account.

Adkreator has plenty of training inside to tell you how to use it and how to make splash pages.

But what we need to look at now is how do we use it for traffic exchanges?

Remember you are a rock star so get your name and picture on there. Don’t be shy.

Also use bright colors even contrasting ugly colors if you so choose, what ever you deside it needs to stand out. You are not looking to create something that every one looks at and says oh that looks nice.

Your main goal is to grab attention so dont be afraid to do things different.

Aside from just the look, you are going to need an attention grabbing headline. Something that grabs everyone and pulls them into the page.

Think about your audience, the people viewing your splash page are going to be people using traffic exchanges, so take a bit of time and think of what other members may want.

Then use that in your headline, one great one is “turn your credits into cash” try to think of a way to turn your product or list into a headline along those lines.

And the last thing you need is a clear call to action. Be sure to tell the person looking at your splash page exactly what you want them to do. “Click Here And Join” you may know exactly what you wany people visiting the page to do but unless you put it on there they may not so again don’t be shy dont ask for anything tell them exactly what you want them to do.

This may all sound almost too easy, all you need is a attention grabbing page with a good headline and then tell people what to do, but really its that simple to get results in traffic exchanges, there are a few more things you can do to improve on this and we will get into those next time, but for now get into Adkreator and start messing around and building a splash page.
